COLOURS
At Anna Charlotte Atelier, colour is developed through a dedicated studio practice — where natural tones, material knowledge, and spatial perception define every palette.
Colour lies at the heart of the work created at Anna Charlotte Atelier.
Rather than being approached as decoration, it is understood as a living element that shapes the atmosphere, perception, and emotional balance within space.
All palettes are developed within the atelier’s own colour studio, following The Anna Charlotte Colour Method.
The process begins with the study of naturally dyed tones from botanical and mineral sources, forming the foundation of the atelier’s colour language.
From these references, colours are translated into textiles through two complementary systems: NatureTone, the atelier’s artisanal palette of naturally derived colours, and Croma Code, a codified palette developed for tonal precision and continuity.
Together, they allow the atelier to move fluidly between natural dye traditions and contemporary textile production — guided by a consistent and holistic understanding of colour as a living element within space.
Colour Systems at Anna Charlotte Atelier
All palettes originate in the atelier’s colour studio, where naturally dyed tones form the foundation of the colour language. From this base, colours are realised through two complementary approaches: botanical dye processes and the Croma Code system.
NatureTone 🌿
The Artisanal Palette
NatureTone colours emerge from botanical and mineral sources, revealing a quiet depth and subtle variation unique to natural processes. These tones have a soft, organic presence, with gentle shifts in hue that reflect the living qualities of natural dyes.
Primarily used in bespoke textiles and limited productions, NatureTone expresses the atelier’s commitment to material authenticity and refined artisanal craft.
Croma Code ⬡
The Precision Palette
Croma Code is the atelier’s codified colour system, developed to maintain tonal clarity and continuity across larger productions. Carefully selected non-toxic dyes allow colours to be reproduced with precision while preserving the natural harmony characteristic of the atelier’s palette.
Through Croma Code, the aesthetic language of the atelier can extend into architectural projects and broader textile applications without compromising its visual balance.
